i will be traveling to shanghai near end of october for 6 days but budget tight... approx 2000RMB spending money... is it too little?

Is your hotel cost included in the 2,000RMB? If so, I think 2,000RMB is too little to stay and travel in Shanghai for 6 days.

If you don't do lots of shopping and take taxi frequently, I think RMB2,000 is enough for you stay there for one week.

Ms. Jenny, your budget will be tight but should work. There are some interesting things to do in the city that are free or at least not very expensive...such as walking the bund, the french concession are, museums in peoples square, even the river cruise are this category. Not to mention the numerous inexpensive yet delicious restaurants!I'll be in Shanghai on business during the same time..and I also try to stay on a budget.These are the things I recommend. Maybe I'll see you out there! Have fun.

Dear Ms.Jenny,
Yes,it is too little for 6 days.You can stay there only 3 days if you need a 2-star hotel or guest house CNY 200-250 yuan per day.
