About:Beijing Weather

Hi,

I'll be bringing my dad (age 73) and niece to Beijing on 8th Feb 2010, before Chinese New Year.

What temperature will that be? And what kind of clothes should I bring with?

By the way, I'll be on free and easy package (as my dad need to be more relax, tour package is too hectic). Any hotel recommendation, nearby to Tiananmen Square?
Will be visiting to Great Wall and Summer Palace as well.

Thanks in advance for any reply.

The average temperature in Beijing in Feb is -1C. It is about 4-10 in day time and drop to -1 to -9 at night. It is warmer then Jan but still very cold. You should wear sweater with thinck down coat, gloves and scarf.

Thank you so much for the reply.

The website indeed very helpful to me.
I'm in the midst of considering whether should I choose Dongjiaominxiang hotel or Redwall Hotel?
Any suggestions?
