About:Guanqian Street

Hi, I live here in HK and has ROA. Now, my cousin is planning to come to HK for a vacation. I know he doesn't need a visa since it'll only be given to him on the day of arrival but someone in the Philippines told him that he will be needing a support letter from us, But I told him that it is not necessary since he's only coming here for a vacation or to tour so speak. Please advice if it's really necessary, sometimes immigration officers are very unpredictable. His flight is on the 15th Oct 2009

URGENT please advice.

You'd better send a support letter to him, sometimes, the immigration officers will ask for it according to their judgement.

Thanks Peter, Unfortunately I just read your reply today and didn't send him a support letter. LOL He was held up in the Philippines and not in HK which i did not expect. I just sent him the support letter last night. Pray that this time it'll be smooth with all the documents I gave him.
