About:Beijing Maps

I would like to know if anybody could recommend a clean --nice --cheap hotel that is located near a subway or bus station for traveling--
in Beijing.
Also, any suggestions on traveling to see the Great Wall.

There are a great number of hotels in Beijing, but you didn’t mention the general location and star ranking. It’s hard to say. If you travel yourself, you’d better start earlier to avoid traffic jam. Good luck.

Hi Ms Debbie

I would suggest that if you are looking for a hotel, you go online and do it.....we did that when we were in China earlier this year and got amazing discounts!! Dont be too fazed about travel around the city, taxis are REALLY cheap!! One hint though, always take a metered taxi, taxi services in China are not regulated, so anyone with a car and some spare time can offer a taxi service. On average, these guys are approximately 30-50% more expensive than "genuine" taxis. One other thing I noticed.....Chinese people love hard beds, so if you want a softer bed, ask for one when you book. We didnt at the first hotel we stayed at and it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete!!!
