About:Beijing Travel

Hi there,
My husband and I are traveling to China in just over 2 weeks - your site has been immensely helpful.
We have a total of 3 full days in Beijing and want to see the following; Acrobats/Shaolin Monks performance, Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Temple of Azure Clouds, Liulichang Street, Forbidden City, and the sunrise flag ceremony at Tiananmen square- could you advise me on the best way / best order to see all of these to ensure we enjoy everything??

Thank you so much for your time, I am so excited to be visiting your beautiful country!

Try this one:
Day 1: Sunrise Flag Ceremony->Forbidden City->Temple of Heaven
tisp: the flag ceremony will be finished early around 07:00, so you will have some time to have a view of the Tiananmen Square unitl to 08:30. The Forbidden City will be open around 08:30.
Day 2: summer Palace->Old Summer Place->performance at night
Day3: Temple of Azure Clouds->Liulichang Street

Have a nice trip!

Hi Ms.Lyon :
The following is my suggestion to the sites you want to;

Day 01 Temple of Azure Clouds(It is just outside the north gate of Fragrance Hill, you need to buy the entrance ticket ¥10,and then you can go to the Temple ¥20) Summer Palace Old Summer Palace

Day 02 Sunrise flag ceremony(the right time you can ask the servant at the Hotel),after that you can go back to the hotel to have a rest Liulichang Street Temple of the Heaven Chinese Kongfu(Red Theater)

Day 03 Forbidden City (a full day visit is much better)

I'm a local person in beijing.Be honest,the places and activities you mentioned are most boring things.This is my suggestion:first day,wake up as late as u can.Then go to "houhai" to try traditional beijing food.After meal,rent a boat for 1 hour.After that,it would be around evening.Take a walk around the lake and experience the culture.On second day,still wake up as late as possible.Go to "nan luo gu xiang".It is a popular place for both chinese and foreigners.Have a dinner at the top of the troditional chinese house.I hope it helps.
