Is it safe to visit the Great Wall during Winter , around late dec ? Wd it be wet or snowy and therefore unsafe? Wd probably be doing the more touristy Badaling area. Thanks!

I was told by my friend that the Jiankou Great Wall is just one wild portion without exploiture, it is a little bit dangerous and risky to visit for normal tourist. I chose Mutianyu section in my last visit, it is also great.
