Well, you could consider take a train from Hangzhou to Nanjing. The journey is about 5.5~7hours and costs 55RMB (without air-condition) or 70RMB/hard-seat.
BTW, the Hangzhou Noth Bus Station also has buses to Nanjing, taking about 4 hours with a fare of 120RMB.0
