Beside of the local dialect, the people in Chengdu could understand and say Mandarin well. Few people could communication in English, but the young generation, such as students, could speak English~

Yes, there is two churchs nearby dynasty hotel.One is just oppsite to dynasty hotel. The other is nearby Chengdu real estate center which is not far from dynasty hotel.I'm not sure which one is Catholic church.
