About:Suzhou Travel

Dear Expert,
Next week on 9/14 we want to make a day trip to Suzhou and Tongli. We will take the early train from Shanghai. Should we head to Tongli rigth after our arrival in Shuzhou and spend the second part of the day in Suzhou or the other way round? We will take the bus to Tongli. And in which city should we take the canal tour?

Thanks:-)

If you would like to visit these two places in one day, it is suggested that you first go to Tongli by bus once arrive in Suzhou. The bus journey is about 30 minutes. Suppose that you could arrive in Tongli at 09:00 and have a brief 4 hours visiting. Then, please return to Suzhou around 13:30. You will have some time to have a lunch in Suzhou and visit one of the classic gardens. The 80-minutes' night Canal Tour could be taken in Suzhou at 19:00 everyday. Then, you could catch the train return to Shanghai around 22:00.
Sounds urgently, so please arrange your itinerary well!

Wow, what a prompt reply!
As I understood is that the bus station is near the train station (over the bridge and on the right)and the ride is 50 minutes. Do I have to look for a special bus who need only 30 minutes to Tongli?
Isn't there also a day Canal Tour which takes less than 80 minutes ?

Hi Steefi, I think the 50 minutes is the max duration as well as 30 is minimal by bus. And, only this canal tour is supplied currently, haven't found any other less than 80 minutes.
