Hi,I am planning to go to Manila but wish to visit Shanghai during the Chinese Holidays Oct 1 to 8th. Can I apply directly at your embassy for a visa? Is the Chinese Embassy in Manila closed during the Holidays? If so, what days are you closed? Thank you for your reply.Zeny

You can apply for the Chian visa from the Chinese Embassy in Manila. However, I hear that applicants are not allowed to get the Chian visa in a third country now because of the coming 60th anniversary of China, so I advise you confirm this with the China embassy in Manila directly.The embassy will be closed during the China National Day Holidays from Oct 01 to oct 08, 2009.
