About:Badaling Great Wall

What is the best way to get to Badaling Great Wall from Beijing downtown?

What is the best way to get to Badaling Great Wall from Beijing downtown. I was thinking of joining a local tour but poeple say that they take you to jade factory, tea factory etc etc and it's a waste of time if you aren't intereted in shopping. If I were to go myself, what it the best form of transportation and how do I get there. Your advise is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, take bus no.919 at Deshengmen bus station. The ticket costs CNY 12. It is the easiest way visitors found to go there. For the details of this bus, you can read in this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing/greatwall.htm

Mr. Ping, thank you for your info. What do you think of the S2 train to badaling from Beijing North Railway Station. is it any good? Also, is the Xizhimen subway station and the beijing north railway station the same?

It's a good way to take the S2 train to Badaling Great Wall, the ticket price is cheap, the train is clean and fast and it is not crowded than in the bus, besides, the scenery along the route is beautiful.

Xizhimen subway station is Not the beijing north railway station. Beijing north railway station is located near to Xizhimen. Nice trip~
