About:Xining

I am a Pakistani citizen on STUDENT VISA in New Zealand. I want to go to China (for the first time in life) to attend a conference in Shanghai in the month of October. I have applied for visa in Chinese embassy in Wellington, New Zealand. But my application has been returned with the remarks "You should apply for visa in Pakistan" according to new law. I have few questions:
1. Can I send my visa application AND PASSPORT by post to my brother in Islamabd to apply and get Chinese visa for me?
2. I have already got invitation letter from Conference organizer. Does this letter fulfill the need of "Original visa notice sheet from am authorized governmental apparatus/organizaion in China prescribing the visa validity, number of enteries and stay period"? If not, from where and how I have to get this document?
3. How much is the visa processing time (days) in Chinese embassy in Islamabad?
4. Because currently I am living in New Zealand, should I give my New Zealand addresses in the visa form or those of Pakistan (because I have to apply in Chinese ebassy in Pakistan)?
Hoping to get replies to all of my questions,

1. yes, you can entrust your brother to apply fot it.
2. invitation letter from conference organizer is only fulfill the need of "Invitation letter from the company/organization/institution you want to visit in hina". the organizer should apply for a visa notice sheet from the Shanghai foreign affaires office for you and send it to you
3. It takes 4 working days in Chinese embassy in Islambad
4. I guess you should write your New Zealand address.

On the section 4, there is address of your school and your home address, you can write your new zealand address for school address, and your pakistan address for home address.
