We will be in Shanghai and Beijing from Oct 31- Nov 4,2009.What weather should we expect and what clothes should I packin my suitcase? Thank you.

oCT 31 - Nov 4, it's the end of autumn and the beginning of winter. you should prepare winter clothings for Beijing, like thick overcoat; Shanghai will be a little warmer than Beijing, though sweaters and overcoat also needed.
