hi,this is my 1st time to shanghai. what s the difference pudong district and new pudong? which part should book the hotel... Hong qiao area or pudong area?Regards,carol

Dongdong is generally we call the place. As a political divisions of Shanghai like Yangpu, Hongkou districts, it is formally Pudong New Area, perhaps New Pudong Area. As to the hotel, it depends on where are you going in Shanghai and which airport do you choose to leave Shanghai. Pudong araa seems to be better.
