About:Beijing Great Wall

what is the nearest part of great wall of china from shenzhen?

what is the nearest part of great wall of china from shenzhen? we will be at shenzhen this coming october 17. is there buses from shenzhen to beijing or nearest/any part of great wall of china?tnx a lot! cheers!

Hi, Mr.jeffrey, the great wall of china is located in Beijing not in Shenzhen. So you should take a flight or train from Shenzhen to Beijing. There is no bus from shenzhen to beijing, for the distance is too big.

THANKS FOR THAT MR. ERIC. MY FRIEND WANTS TO TAKE A BS GOING TO BEIJING TO WITNESS THE BEAUTY OF CHINA BY BUS, can you suggest best way possible to get onto the bus? shenzhen to kunming, possible?then head from kunming to beijing? how much would it cost by train or air from Shenzhen to beijing? tnz for the big help! highly appreciated! gd day!

Hi, Mr. Jeffrey, the best way to witness the beauty of China from Shenzhen to Beijing is to travel by train. The train no.K106 and T108 will take you directly from Shenzhen to Beijing West Station. The tickets of the two trains is sold at the same price. For hard seat, the tickets costs CNY 257, for middle hard berth, it costs CNY 452, and for lower soft berth, it costs CNY 720. The prices are listed for your reference. Or you can take a flight, but it is a pity that you can not see the landview by plane. And by bus, forget it, it is too long and not safe, so take a train and good trip!

wow, great help then mr. eric! tnx a lot for this very useful information. we will be in shenzhen this coming Oct.17 and probably staying there for 1 day and go directly to beijing. any accommodation (guesthouses) at shenzhen and beijing/ tnx..great help!cheers!

You are welcome, Mr.jeffrey. For the hotels, I think Motel 168 of Hongling Road, Shenzhen will be a good choice. It is a budget hotel with clean and large rooms and friendly and helpful staffs.

In Beijing, you can stay at Beijing City Central Youth Hostel located in No. 1, Beijingzhanqianjie, Dongcheng District,Beijing. It is a member of Hostelling International and the largest and highest standard hostel in Beijing. What's more important, the price is rather reasonable. But of course, it is up to you. My advice is only a reference. Nice trip!

If you take D trains, it costs 10.5 to 12 hours. By Z train, it takes around 22 hours. By fast train, it takes around 30 hours. You may just visit "Trains" section of this website to find the latest schedule. They also provide train ticket booking service.

There is a five-day Visa On Arrival for Shenzhen. However, it just allows people to stay within Shenzhen only. And Filipinos are suggested to apply Chinese visa from Chinese embassy before they go because it's difficult for them to acqure five day VOA. Even they have it, they can't visit Beijing.

Not sure what you are asking. If you have a tourist or work visa then you can travel inside China.
