Now, you can not extend your visa in your own country, you can extend it after entering China. In fact, you apply for a new visa in the local Exit & Enter Department in China before the stay duration of the present visa is expired.

Mr.prateek, now I want to clarify this issue, you will stay in China from 30th August 2009 to 31st October, 2009, in total 63 days, but the multiple entry visa issued to you only permits you to stay in China for 45 days each time, right? Please tell me.

There is another option for you, the multiple entry visa issued to you allows you stay 45 days each time, you can exit China to Macau or Hong Kong, then enter China again, this means a new entry, then you can get another 45 days stay in China.

PS: Hong kong and Macau is regarded as a new country in visa policy because they apply different exit and enter regulations
