About:Beijing Capital International Airport

I will be arriving in Terminal 3 on Air China from Canada and will catch a flight on Air China to Qingdao 3 hours later. Can I assume I will depart from Termnial 3? Do I need to claim my bags and go through customs in Beijing or is that done in Qingdao?

Yes, in the same terminal, T3. You should go through customs in Beijing.
