what is the difference between 'original visa notice from the authorized unit of china'

What is the difference between 'Original visa notice from the authorized unit of China' and  'Invitation letter from the partner/sponsor of the applicantat' ? Can any one explain to me this .

The main difference is the original visa notice is issued by the foreign affairs office of China, a Chinese goverment, while the invitation letter is written by the applicator's relatives, friends or cooperators in China.
