Hi, I think you have to change your route to HK->Macau->HK->Shenzhen. It is because that you just could apply for an on-site visa at the ports between HK and Shenzhen. On the other hand, Hk is much closer to Shenzhen. Usually, it may take you about 1 hour and 150RMB to apply for the visa. But since it is the peak tourism season in China, the time may be a little longer. Just for your reference!

Mr. Frank,

I will have a trip route: HK->Macau->Shenzhen, and I had the information that the China visa application can be done in Fu Yong ferry terminal in Shenzhen when I arrive in Shenzhen from Macau by direct ferry.

Could you please advice?

It's because taking a ferry directly from Macau to Shenzhen is going to be more effective rather than going back again to HK.

Ms. Hartati,
Apologize for jump into your query, however, it's the same concern that we have in place. My trip is in Aug 2009.

Thanks. Do you know the operating hours of visa application office in Fu Yong port?
I need that to estimate the ferry trip from Macau.

How many hour does it take from Macau to Shenzhen by ferry..? Is it a TurboJet ferry?
Is the port in Macau going to be the same port from the ferry trip that is coming and go to Hong Kong?

One last question: how many passenger maximum a taxi in HongKong may take....3 adults? 4 adults?
Need to estimate if taking a taxi is more efficient.

thanks,
sandy

1. The office hour of the Fuyong Port is 08:30~17:30.
2. the ferry from New HK Macau Ferry Terminal to Shenzhen Shekou Port takes about one hour. Yes, it is Turbojet ferry. It departs from the same terminal with ferry to and from HK.
3. Usually, a HK taxi could take 4~5 adults together.
