About:China Visa Application Requirements

hi i am ainvited by a friend to visit him to china this end of july will i know if NBI is still one of the application in filing a tourist visa??I have with me my passport, roud trip ticket,invitation letter of my friend, and other valid i.d's. please tell me how impt NBIas one of the requirement. ill be filing my visa application this Juky 25th in Manila.

NBI. Its a clearance from theNational Beaureu of Invistigation. My friend says its not important anymore cause I am just applying for a tourist visa.
