About:Shanghai Dining: What & Where to Eat

Anyone been to M1NT Shanghai? I am going to Shanghai next week on business and need some good options to take clients for dinner. Some colleagues recommended M1NT restaurant, which from what I can gather opened the end of 2008. Just looking for some feedback on M1NT's quality of food, ambience, reputation, etc... I need a place to impress my dinner guests, but still respectable enough to have business discussions.

It was highly recommended in Sina and said the chef come from Manhattan. It is in 24F, Gaoteng Building, Fuzhou Road. It is a luxury brand restaurant in Shanghai. I haven't been there for dinner, and just help you collected the comments. It looks good.

I am an American woman living in Shanghai. I have been several times to M1NT. It often gets classified as a members club, but non-members can get in on their own, no problem, unless there is a private party or special invitation-only event. At least that has been my experience. There is a nightclub section which is famous for its very long shark tank. If you are interested in the place for a business meal, don't worry about the nightclub disturbing you. Its on a different side and if you go straight to the restaurant you would not even realize it existed. There is a cool lounge/cocktail bar attached to the restaurant. Restaurant itself is very classy in a modern way (read: no snobby waiters or tapestries). Efficient service, great food, and awesome views over the city & Bund from any seat in the house, even the bathrooms! There is a new rooftop terrace I hear. You don't mention if your dinner guests are Chinese or not, but either way this is a place that will impress them, I'm sure.
