The China Great Wall was made out of bricks, stones, and adhesives in the mountains. In the desert or grassland, it is made out of the local plants and earth.

The first part of the wall was usually made of local supplies, e.g,rocks, mud, stones, sticks.

I think I learned in a video that the first part of the Great Wall was made of dirt and rice. The dirt was sifted and then mixed with the rice.
