I had the good fortune to visit China a few years ago during business opportunity.

We traveled near Hangzhou & Ningbo and covered a lot of country in one week.

A very special place was the Temples but, I have no idea where they were located and would like to return.

I remember a small town below with a very steep "cable car" ride up to the temples.
Can anyone offer where this may have been located?
I would recognize photographs.

I think what you mentioned should be the Puji Temple on the Putuo mountain. It is not far from Ningbo.
