About:Hangzhou Transportation

Hello,

In September I'd like to go to from Hangzhou to Huangshan. I think I have to take a bus at the West bus Station. Could you confirm that ?

Then I'll go from Huangshan to Shanghai. I think I'll take the bus to Hangzhou and then a bus from Hangzhou to Shanghai. Are those 2 bus at the same bus station ?
Or is it better to take the train ? I'd rather take the bus as there is an expresseway, so I think it's faster.

Thanks in advance

Yes, there are five bus departing from Hangzhou West Bus Station to Tangkou Bus Station of Huangshan Scenic Area directly everyday.

As for going to Shanghai, at the Tangkou Bus Station, there is one coach going to Shanghai at 06:10 everyday. If you miss the bus, you have to return to Hangzhou from Tangkou and then transfer to the bus or train going to Shanghai from Hangzhou. Not suggest taking a train from Huangshan to Shanghai. In this way, you have to firstly take a bus to Tunxi of Huangshan City and then catch one of the two trains to Shanghai, which take about 12~15 hours.
