About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

I am traveling to china in august to marry my fiance in chengdu , and will then return to australia in 2 or 3 weeks after wedding alone . am i able to just travel on a tourist visa to get married , and do i have to show impediment certificate or single cetificate when lodging for a visa . thank you .

Yes, you can travel on a tourist visa, staying in China for less than 30 days. If you won't apply for the marriage certificate, you don't have to provide the single certificate when apply the visa.
