About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

Hi,

If I want to use the NATCO bus service from Gilgit, Pakistan to Kashgar, China, and from Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan by taxi or bus, do I still need a round-trip air ticket in order to apply for a visa?
