About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

I am a Mexican citizen and travel on a Mexican passport, but I am living in the USA as a legal resident. My husband is an American citizen and we are planning a cruise to China for approximately 10 days days. The ship will dock at Dalian on Oct 15, Beijing on Oct 16 and 17, Shanghai on Oct 20 and 21. The cruise ends on October 26 in Hong Kong, where we plan to stay for 4 days. We will be travelling on the Holland America (on the Volendam)

The question I have is; do either my husband or I need a tourist or transit visa? I have tried to call Chinese Counsalate in Los Angeles but can only get a recording which does not answer my questions. Can you give me the required information or give me a telephone number where I can speak to one of your staff? Thank you very much.
