About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Hi there,
I am an Irish citizen. I am travelling to Australia & New Zealand in July and I will return to Ireland in December. I would like to travel to China on my way back to Ireland. Is this possible if I apply for a tourist visa in Australia?

Thanks
