About:Guilin Flights

I am planning to travel from Xian on 18h July 09, to Guilin then to Hanin Island on the 22nd July 09. I then want to travel to Shanghai from Hanin Island around the 12th August and finally back to Beijing around the 18th August 09. Please can you advise of flight schedules and approximate cost. I will be travelling alone - will there be many other back packers about this time of year?

I am not clear about the Hanin Island you mentioned and consider whether it is Hainan Isalnd. If it is Hainan Island, will you arrive in Haikou City or Sanya? Then the questions will be the flights from Guilin to Haikou or Sanya? and Haikou or Sanya to Shanghai? Before inquiry the airfare, you would better fix the exact destination.

As for the other two flights: Xian-Guilin on July 18 and Shanghai-Beijing on August 18, there are many flights meeting your demands. Do you have any preference about the flight time, morning, daytime or evening?

Mr Johannes, thanks for your reply. Sorry, spelling mistake - it is indeed Hainan Island. I'd heard that the best beaches were in Sanya so I thought I'd head there, unless someone has some wonderful things to tell me about Haikou? As I have 3 weeks to spend on the island I have plenty of time to travel from one city to the other - whichever is the cheapest would be best I guess. No preference about flying time so long as I arrive in daylight/when I am able to check into a hotel/hostel.

Yes, the best beach is in Sanya, especially in the Yalong Bay. According, hotels in Yalong Bay are a little expensive than that in Dadonghai and Sanya Bay.

Xian-Guilin on July 18: three flights available in daytime:
12:15/14:00, CZ6376, China Southern Airlines, Full price of economy class: CNY1,090. only three seats left.
15:20/17:05, FM9329, Shanghai Airlines, 40% discount tickets are sufficient.
17:00/18:40, MU2307, China Eastern Airlines, Full price of economy class seats are available.

Guilin-Sanya on July 22: only one flight available:
20:40/21:50, CZ6399, China Southern Airlines, Full price of economy class: CNY980.

Sanya-Shanghai on August 12: four flights available in daytime:
07:45/12:20, CZ6755, China Southern Airlines, Full price of economy class: CNY1,890.
09:00/11:50, CZ6753, China Southern Airlines
13:00/15:35, HO1178, Shanghai Juneyao Airlines
15:00/17:50, CZ3835, China Southern Airlines.
