Hi, I am a businessman in China with companies setup in Hong Kong and China. We have a strategic plan to establish the cashew kernel market in China via importing raw cashew from Africa. You might have aware that the cashew nut market is currently dominated by Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand but we want to break this through via using African's product to share the market. We are planning to setup a de-shelling plant in China and have plan to import from Africa for the first year 80,000 mt raw (with shell) follow by around 200,000 mt in the following year. This is a great business and I am aware that Senegal in one of the countries exporting cashew nuts. We do have a plan to source cashew nuts in different countries and Senegal is one of them. Appreciate your advice to see if we can have a dialogue with contact in Senegal otherwise we might go through the China/African Council to help us. Look forward for your advice.
