About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

We will send one of the employee to China for business purpose as we have a branch in Shanghai. The employee is Malaysian and he would like to request for multiple entry since he will go back and forth to China for one year for short period every time he has the task to be completed.
For this case, can we apply for him multiple visa initially so that we do not have to repeat every time he need to go to China?
What is the requirement for multiple entry visa application?
