About:Macau Visa Policy

Hi,
I am from Mainland China, now leave in Shanghai.
I hear Residents from Mainland China have to apply a 港澳通行证 before arriving Macau,

above mentioned "(1) Residents from Mainland China holding valid travel documents can visit Macau for up to 30 days without a visa,

my concern is "valid travel documents" = 港澳通行证? It is possible to enter Macau just hold Mainland China passport?

Waiting for your feedback, thanks.

Ms.Jin, its true that you need hold the "Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau" 港澳通行证 to enter Macau. From September 1, 2008, you should have the Macau endorsation on the Permit to enter this SAR, otherwise, you can't go to Macau.

If you will transit Macao to foreign countries, you can use your China passport for one time to visit Macau for 7 days.
