About:Chinese Embassy in Belgium

Hi,
I'm a foreign student in Belgium. In September I intend to visit China with my Chinese friend (in whose house I'll be staying for most of the time) for about a week. So I was wondering what is the procedure to obtain a tourist visa and which documents I need to provide?

Thanks a lot for information. I was also wondering if i'll be needing an invitation and if yes, is there any standard form for it?

Mrs.D, you need an Invitation Letter from your Chinese friend, his/her sponsion, copy of his/her Chinese Identity Card. I am not clear about the standard form, but I think the form is doesn't matter for the invitation because the copy of Identity Card was an insurance.
