I am planning a visit to Beijing with my family for a holiday in mid August 09. Can you suggest which is the best area/district to stay from tourist point of view.Thanks,Naresh

Well, the city's center is the Tiananmen Square from which you could go to other destinations easily. So, you may consider to look for a hote around it, such as in the Qianmen Area, Wangfujing Street or Xidan. There are lots of hotels located here, spanning from budget home inns to luxurious 5-star hotels.
