Our trip plan for this July (married couple 30 ) is to start in Chengdu (4 nights) and go through Jiuzhaigou or Song-pan to Xiahe/Labrang. If we want to experience a part of the beauty between Sichuan and Gansu provinces how many days it will take us to get to Xiahe if we stop on the way. Where to stay? Wont' the roads be in bad condition on Gansu border and dangerous in July? Wont it rain too much in beginning of July?

Usually, 5~7 days are enough for u traveling from Jiuzhaigou-Xiahe. This a famous tour line from Sichuan to Gangsu which has been reopended in last November although it was destroyed partially in the earthquake. July is the most the beatiful season with comfortable weather in south Gansu so please take it easy!
