Hi... does anyone know where can I buy locally produced sturgeon caviar in Shanghai or other chinese cities? Not the imported kind. I understand that cities like Yichang, Hangzhou have sturgeon farms. Not sure if their products like caviar and are available in chinese cities or just for exports?

Any place in Shanghai that sells these stuff? Would be very interested to try. Thanks.

I know a specilized shop selling caviar in Xintiandi, it is called PLANET CAVIAR. Wow, very expensive. Suugest you try at some large supermarket, you may find the sturgeon cavuar produces in Thousand Island Lake area of Hangzhou. Its brand name seems to be kalugaqueen.

Thanks, Emma!

Ya.. I read about Planet Caviar but it seems to only sell imported Caviar. I am keen to try the locally produced Caviar like the ones you mentioned from Hangzhou. I will certainly go to the supermarkets to find. Any good supermarkets to recommend that definitely has it? Cheers.
