About:China Embassy in Thailand

I would like to know if it's possible for an american citizen to get a Chinese visa in Chiang Mai, thailand, or in Luang Prabang, Laos.

What entry points can I enter China from Thailand and Laos?

Presently, you are required to show a health report when crossing the border. I don't know about the specific port. You need to take a train or a bus.
