About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

My son holds canadian passport, and he is now staying in China, I holds chinese passport. His chinese visa is expiring soon, and we planned to come to China embassy in Malaysia (for a short stay)to renew his visa.
Would you pls inform if it is okay for us to do so? what special documents shall I prepare?

It is possible to obtain a Chinese visa in China embassy in Malaysia. In addition to the basic required documents, a Malaysian visa or residence permit is also needed.
