Greetings!I am a Peace Corps Volunteer living in Kazakhstan.  I would love to travel to Urumqi this summer.  Is it possible to get a visa in Almaty?  Do I need a letter of invitation?  How many days is the total processing time?Questions, questions, questions!  :0)Thanks for time!

You are supposed to get your visa in Chinese Embassy in Astana. An invitation letter is not reequired for obtaining tourist visa. It takes 4 working days to process your application.
