6 of us will arrive Beijing on 17 Jul to spend 3 days. On 19 Jul 09 we plan to take the Z21 train to Shanghai, departing at 1945 & arriving at 0715. Is there anyway we can book the tickets in advance? We hope to get at least 4 berths in the same compartment. If no advance booking, what is our chances of getting the tickets. On 22 Jul morning, theres a solar eclipse in Shanghai.

Yes, generally the ticket is not difficult to book at that day. But still suggest you book in the ticket in advance, coz students are in holidays then. You can get to the train ticket offices at the same day of your arrival at Beijing and also you can ask your hotel for help. Perhaps service charge is higher.
