About:Embassy & Consulates of New Zealand in China

Hi all, I'm a college student and will be visiting Beijing next month. I'm traveling alone so I'm concerned about getting around in Beijing, what is the most convenient mode of transport to get around?

My hotel is the Holiday Inn Express Temple of Heaven at Nanwei Road, I have looked at Google maps and there doesn't seem to be subway stations nearby, looks to me Tiantandong Gate station is the nearest, should I take the subway from the airport and then change to a cab? Or any other better ideas?

I'll have 5 days, I'll be probably visiting the Great Wall of China, Ming Tombs, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, so how should I get to these places from my hotel? Cabs or buses? Any other places that might be of interest? Thanks for the info in advance!

Hello Andrei,
1. please take the subway if possible. It is the fastest transportation in Beijing. Of course, sometimes you have to take a city-bus such as going to the great wall, the summer palace all of which are located in the suburb.
2. from airport to the hotel, it is suggested that you could take the airport express to Dongzhimen and then transfer to the subway Line 2. Get off at Hepingmen Station. Then, take a taxi to the hotel.
