About:Chinese Crew, Resident and Journalist Visa

I am a british citizen living and working in china for 15years. i have been married to my chinese wife for 14yrs. please advise how i can procede with application for a D visa. and what are the requirements for issue of the certificate of residency, additionally if issued can i work on this visa?

Mr.Marsh, yes, you can work in China if you get D visa. First, you need apply in Public Security Ministry or Local Public Security Department to get the approval of residence, then you can apply for a D visa in your own country.

Since you have married a Chinese woman, you can present your marriage certificate to apply for a residence permit.

Hi, I'm in a similar case as Mr Marsh, (working in China and married a chinese citizen), but I'm here only since 2008 and married this year in China. Can I apply for the D visa?

Hi Batista, why not apply for a residence permit with your marriage certificate as Siva advised
