About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi,

I'm planning to go to China for holiday in Oct. At the same time I might go to HK as well. So, which type of Visa should I apply. I'm a Malaysian but currently working in Singapore. Can I get my VISA done in Singapore as well? Any additional charges? At the same time, can I know what is the procedure like to get a VISA? Should I get an Air Ticket first or get a VISA first?

Thank You.
