About:Haikou Travel

How heavy is the traffic in Haikou, especially in the city center?
How difficult could be riding on the bike from the city center toward Haikou Bypass?
Do the local drivers respect bicyclists the same as the European and North American drivers (sorry, I've never been in Asia)?
Do the local traffic laws prohibit riding at the shoulders of the highways? Thanks.

The traffic may be heavy in the rush hour. The popular route for riding starts from the city center to Meilan Airport along Qiongzhou Dadao and passing Lingshan. Then you are near to the sea. It is not allowed to ride in highway shoulders. Many drivers would gether together to ride along the sea coats starting from Haikou.
