Hi, Ms.Kristi,
The Wall were decided to be built by many Chinese emperors including Qin Shihuang, the Emperor Han Wudi and other leaders in successive dynasties. It was constructed by manpower and animal power. The Great Wall is built from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east and ends at Jiayuguan Pass in the west. In the mountains, it was made of stones and bricks, while in the grassland or desert, it was made from sand and local plants.
