Hi,I stay in HK at the moment and want to make a one day trip to macau. Since I gave my passport to order a Chinese visa, can I enter Macau just with my ID card from Germany as well during this time?

You cannot enter Macau without a passport. As you know, when crossing the border, the staff from customs will stamp on the passport for exit and entry record.
