There are so many places to visit in China and this may not be at the top of ones list, but the people in this city are so open and welcoming that even thought you may be miles from home there is a comfort here that you may not feel in some of the larger cities in China.  Noted for it's ocean views and sports university Rizhao has some interesting history  to be seen.
