Hi Gud Day! were having our trip with my mother and cousin this coming april. if ever ill buy a cellular phone and laptop there in macau, could this be a problem bringing this item home in the philippines?would the imigration in the airport will restrict me for bringing this item in the philippines? or charges? kindly advise me tnx!

You should pay for charges while passing through the custom. The tax rate is 20 percent. You can just put the cell phone in you pocket and the custom will not pay attention. Ad for the laptop, well perhap pay additional charge as 1/5 of the account of money written in the invoice.

coming from other international airports is not a worry at all. no one would question you at all aboout any of your stuff. but tell you what. the philippines has the most bent airport staff, fromm the immigration staff down to the porters. theyre disgruntled and very unwellcoming to balikbayans and ofw's on leave.They would scurry off to grab your stuff off you. believe me. its better off to have your stuff shipped over. its bit of an expense but a lot safer from mean airport personell's claws.
