Yes, probably, you can apply for the chinese citizenship because your father is Chinese, but first, you should give up your Philippines citizenship, because China does not recognize dual nationality. Wish you success!

Hi, I think we have the same problem. I'm also holding Philippine Passport and wants to apply for Chinese Passport. The point here is we can only give up our Philippine Passport once they issued our Chinese Passport otherwise we will become ALIEN anywhere..

I think we can still apply for chinese citizenship even if our parents died years already as long as your holding their original ID, passport, ACR, etc. I'm sure these documents are the supporting documents in order for us to apply for chinese citizenship because I already made my research on HK Immigration in line with China Law.

Are you already registered at Chinese birth registry department or not? Are you holding your original birth certificate (Chinese Citizen)?

My problem is:
1. My parents failed to register my birth at chinese embassy
2. I don't have ACR/ICR or I-card

What we should find out:
1. how to get the ACR/ICR or I-card
2. how can we register our birth at chinese embassy
3. how to apply for passport and ID
