Guangzhou has an enormous airport with chinese southern airlines, then china air the two major users...You can also get there via both Hong Kong and take train from airport in HK to guangzhou, the train is extress and has first class for small cost, worth the extra money..From Macau you can take bus...if you have time to take in sites Macau is good wiht 23 casinos the venetian is a wonder with its own label shopping centre. HK for it shopping its 24 hour night life market and bazzars. You can also take ferry from HK to Shekou and Shenzhen then bus to guangzhou. Shenzhen has it own sites to see.
Guangzhou airport is new and large and service is very good. Bus to city centre takes 40 or so minutes or taxi. enjoy
